Our take
I picked up these neoprene dumbbells for light toning and they're fine for that purpose. The neoprene coating is soft on the hands and the hex shape prevents rolling. At 1 lb each, they're extremely lightweight—great for physical therapy or high-rep work, but not for building muscle. The price is low, reflecting the light weight. The purple color is nice, but the coating might wear over time. Not for serious lifting, but acceptable for beginners.
